Virgen de Lourdes Festival (Guinate)

The festival of the tiny hamlet of Guinate, in the far north of the municipality, honours Our Lady of Lourdes. The main day — Mass and procession — falls on the Sunday nearest 11 February and is followed by a Canarian parranda; the preceding days fill with card and traditional-game tournaments, workshops, playback shows, baking and Canarian music and culture. An intimate, community-minded celebration.
