Máguez's winter festival honours Santa Bárbara around her chapel — designed by César Manrique and opened in 1974. On 4 December there is Mass and procession, while the programme offers a tapas fair, tournaments, music, workshops, exhibitions, theatre and children's activities. It is the village's year-closing celebration.
