Güime Festival (St. Anthony of Padua)

The village festival of Güime honours St. Anthony of Padua, whose feast day on 13 June brings a solemn Mass and a procession accompanied by the Municipal Music Band. The programme blends culture, music, children's events, sport, food and religion, with signature moments such as a night of folk 'parrandas', a tasting of local wine, cheese and gofio, a children's playback show and theatre performed by the villagers themselves. It usually closes with a big open-air dance and fireworks, and in recent years has added accessibility and inclusion measures to its children's activities.
