Candelaria and San Blas Festival (Tías)

The patron-saint celebrations of Tías town, dedicated to Our Lady of Candelaria, the parish's titular patron, and to Saint Blaise. They blend religious events such as solemn masses and processions with a romería pilgrimage and offering, folk-music gatherings, parrandas and verse singers, a livestock fair, a craft market and traditional games. Expect fried-food stalls, open-air dance nights (verbenas) and activities for children. The 2nd of February, Candelaria day, is also a local public holiday in the municipality.
