La Magdalena Festival (Masdache)

The festivities of the wine-growing village of Masdache in honour of Saint Mary Magdalene. Rural and traditional in feel, they include religious services, a romería pilgrimage —in recent years held jointly with Conil, the two villages meeting at the Entre Montañas chapel—, folk music, open-air dances and activities linked to the wine culture of La Geria. Masdache straddles several municipalities; these celebrations appear on the Tías town-hall calendar.
