Our Lady of Los Remedios Patron Saint Festival

These are the patron saint festivities of the town of Yaiza, held in honour of the Virgin of Los Remedios, venerated in the 17th-century church rebuilt after the volcanic eruptions. The programme runs for over a week with an opening address, folk festivals, open-air dances, children's events and a romería offering with decorated carts and folk groups that sets off from the football ground. The main day, 8 September, brings the solemn Mass and the procession of the Virgin accompanied by the Municipal Band.
