Villa de Teguise's main summer patronal fiesta honours Our Lady of Carmen, celebrated jointly with the island of La Graciosa. It blends an opening proclamation, a solemn Mass and procession on the main day, open-air dances and a broad cultural, sporting and children's programme through the historic centre. July 16 is a local public holiday in the municipality.
