The traditional Canarian Noche de los Finaos, when the departed ('finaos') are remembered in a festive, communal way. It is accompanied by parrandas, traditional music, storytelling and seasonal treats such as chestnuts, walnuts, dried figs and anís, reviving a local custom that predates the influence of Halloween.
