Rancho de Pascua of Tinajo (Christmas Folk Ensemble)

A traditional musical expression unique to Lanzarote, the only Canary Island that preserves the Ranchos, descended from the old Ranchos de Ánimas and de Pascua. The ensemble performs religious and Christmas songs accompanied by percussion instruments (tambourine, triangle, castanets, rattles) throughout the Christmas season. The Rancho de Pascua of Tinajo has kept this tradition alive for decades and has been recognised for its work safeguarding intangible heritage.
