Virgen de la Candelaria Festival (Tabayesco)

The festival of Tabayesco, in the valley that runs down to the coast, honours Our Lady of Candelaria. Although Candlemas falls on 2 February, Tabayesco holds its festival in the second half of January, with Mass and procession on the closing Sunday. The week gathers a charity fun run, la bola and card tournaments, workshops, a hot-chocolate get-together, theatre, folk bands and activities for all ages.
