Virgen de las Mercedes Festival (Mala)

Mala's patron-saint festival honours Our Lady of Mercy (Las Mercedes). Its highlights are the offering pilgrimage and the Baile del Romero, with traditional dress and folk bands parading through the village. The programme adds Mass and procession, open-air dances, tortilla and baking contests, workshops, traditional games, a dance gala and activities for all ages. Devotion to Las Mercedes in Mala dates back to the 19th–20th centuries.
